Low humidity makes your temps much more bearable! I lived in Lubbock for 10 years which is considered the 'high-plains', and our summers were not bad at all since the humidity was usually under 20%. After the sun went down you could sit outside in the shade and actually enjoy the weather. Your New Mexico weather seems to be similar, especially based on your elevation.

Truly just a tip I believe the diet Dr pepper is worse than the regular sugar one because the diet Dr Pepper has aspartame in it

Something I tried to wean off of all sodas. I got some plain sparkling water. Added it to my drink. First by a third, then a half, then less and less soda. It tasted less and less sweet, obviously. But tasted better with time. Then just plain sparkling mineral water. Now, when I crave sodas, I squeeze a lime or lemon half into the mineral water. Now, mineral water or clean plain water is my drink of choice. Coffee and tea unsweetened as a treat. Happy change. Everyone, you do you. Just sharing what helped me make a change I wanted to do. Respect to all my fellow Rangers, my Amigos.

I knew a couple of brakemen that rode in the caboose. Dad introduced them to me he was a railroader on graveyard and ran the restaurant during the day.

I miss the cabooses on the train. I always waved at the guy on the caboose.
